Dream Map and Cornucopia with Flames
2024
Ink on Tyvek
135" x 90"

A vase with geometric shapes, holds coca leaves, the drawing behind mirrors the drawing on the pot but could it be a grill from which flames spew, figures in the back. They are burning like witches at the stake. The Inquisition transplanted its practices to the colonies, with witches, Jews, and savages to burn. Coca leaves come out the vase while hidden behind the leaves soldiers with one eye, cyclops, shoot at one another. They look like targets, they target each other, and themselves while we in the North rage wars and snort cocaine.
